John is an experienced investment and finance expert in the development of innovative technology companies and corporations in digital transformation. As a long-standing managing director of the investment holding company Axel Springer Digital, John Lange was jointly responsible for building the successful investment portfolio of Axel Springer, one of the pioneers of digital transformation. He is – among other positions – an Executive Board member of the Business Angels Network Elbeweser and of Der Wirtschaftsverein – a platform for businesses in Hamburg’s southern metropolitan region. Martin Mahn was CEO of Humboldt-Innovation GmbH, the private-sector knowledge and technology transfer arm of Humboldt-Universität, Berlin and lectured in Innovation Management at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. He held a number of senior management roles in the Display Optic Lighting Division of OSRAM AG. Petra is a pioneer in the mobile industry. She is one of the first women in the world to establish a mobile company in 2005 and to grow Smaato into one of the largest independent mobile companies in the world and the largest independent Global Mobile Ad and RTB Exchanges with headquarters in San Francisco and offices in New York, Hamburg, Singapore and Shanghai. Anselm works as AI project manager at the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC). In his work, he uses his knowledge to help advance the introduction of artificial intelligence in various projects. He has a master’s degree in computer science with a specialization in artificial intelligence, which makes him a good contact for questions about algorithms and the application of AI. In addition, he has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and is therefore also available for questions related to mathematics. Anselm arbeitet als KI-Projektmanager am Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC). Sein besonderer Fokus liegt auf allen Arten von Algorithmen des maschinellen Lernens sowie auf evolutionären Algorithmen.
Pascal has a German diploma in business engineering (Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur) and has been working at the intersection of business and technology ever since. After his studies, Pascal worked as a strategy consultant. In an academic leave of absence, Pascal did his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge on the topic of using Deep Learning and NLP to extract supply chain maps from text. After the Ph.D., Pascal re-joined the strategy consultancy – this time as part of the Advanced Analytics team of EY-Parthenon. In June 2022, Pascal joined ARIC as AI Manager. During his time in the UK, Pascal co-founded multiple startups, i.a. one commercializing the idea of the Ph.D. research.

Werner works as a digital enabler at Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC), i.e. he paves the way for companies and organizations to use artificial intelligence. As a computational linguist, Werner has a focus on Natural Language Processing and is also interested in the creative use of AI in culture and media. With his own legal practice, Jan Schnedler has been a leading lawyer for technology transfer and startup law for years. He is co-founder and Chief Legal Officer at the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC). He has written the books “Startup Law” as well as the books from the series German Startup law “Managing Director”, “German IP Law for Startups”, “Employment Law for Startups” and is co-author of the book “How artificial intelligence shapes our lives”. He therefore combines extensive experience in AI and the legal matters of startups. He is also an arbitrator at the Czech Arbitration Court and the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre and is a certified data protection officer since 2011. He also teaches at various universities and has founded several startups.
